About the natural yarn collection

Whether you're knitting a hat or crocheting a sweater, the yarn you choose to work with makes all the difference.

When you use a high-quality yarn, you're much more likely to end up with a finished item you'll love and cherish for years (maybe even generations). Our collection of natural yarns offers high-quality products at affordable prices.

These yarns were milled in the U.S. and, whenever possible, sourced locally, so every purchase supports the U.S. Northeast economy and preserves knowledge for generations to come.

Yarns FAQ

What are the benefits of using natural yarns?

Natural fiber yarns have many benefits, including better temperature regulation, durability, and structure when compared to synthetic fibers found in acrylic yarns.

Yarns spun from natural fibers such as wool or cotton are generally more sustainable and renewable as they come from natural sources (plants, animals) and they naturally decompose. Their production typically leaves a lower footprint because it uses less energy and chemicals.

How do I know which yarn to choose for my project?

When picking the right yarn for your project, it's best to refer to the recommendation provided in your pattern. Look for a yarn that has the same weight, fiber type, and closely matches the recommended yardage.

If you're not using a pattern, think about what you want to achieve with your knitting or crochet project. What is your desired weight? What fabric characteristics/benefits are you looking for? E.g., if you want to create a warm winter hat, I would recommend using a DK or worsted-weight yarn with warm animal fiber content, such as wool, alpaca, or cashmere.

How fast will you deliver my yarn order?

I use USPS for shipping orders within the U.S. Depending on your location, it can take 2-5 business days to deliver your order after it's been processed and shipped.

See details about delivery here.

Delivery outside of the U.S. can vary greatly, with an average of 7-21 business days.
