The Stories of Ice sweater pattern was inspired by the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. The design is rooted in the endless variety of ice; every piece of ice has its own story to tell.
The designer, Katerina Rieckel, wanted to create the perfect winter pullover for her outdoor trips in her favorite colors—green, blue, and white—which are prevalent in the Lake George area during winter.
The yoke sweater is knitted top down, seamlessly in the round.

The pattern is easy to follow and nicely laid out. I'm still new to knitting patterns so I have to look up common terms from time to time, but so far it's working up beautifully. I have only 1 issue and that has to do with the gauge. The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn, and the yarn used to make the pattern doesn't have a listed weight, but I wasn't able to make the gauge with fingering weight. I've been using light weight (3) yarn with 3.25mm and 3.5mm needles. Thanks to the gauge included, everything is working out well. Just be sure you check it before you dive in!
Very nice pattern! Easy to follow and makes for a beautiful sweater!
