Nature is the greatest designer
My inspiration comes from nature and photography. Photography taught me to pay attention to the smallest of details as they can be the most fascinating. These details inspire my knitting.
Handmade knitwear originally created to fit my own style
I started writing knitting patterns when I realized I could create sweaters I could never find anywhere in regular retail stores. I wanted to create sweaters that I would feel comfortable wearing. It used to be difficult to find winter sweaters that would fit my personal style. Now I come up with my own designs which is endlessly fulfilling.
I like sharing my designs and seeing other people creating their own versions that fit their style.

My goal is to design easy modern knitting patterns for women's sweaters and accessories, worked in beautiful natural materials.
My knitwear design is inspired by plants, woods, rivers, and mountains. I truly believe that nature is the most talented designer.
There is a simple yet sophisticated pleasure in knitting coming from the combination of the repetitive motion and almost an endless variety of stitches and patterns. It allows you to create your own dream wardrobe or to give the perfect gift to a loved one.
Knitting gives you the power to go back and correct your mistakes. While it can be unsettling to undo a project, it is always an option. I think that being able to start from scratch is very empowering and not every craft allows you to do that.
My design process
My ideas start with the material
My knitting ideas usually come from being inspired by the yarn I'm looking to use. The material speaks to me and informs my design.
My mission is to use yarns that are 100% natural. I try to use locally sourced yarns from the US Northeast whenever I can.
Ideas become designs on paper
Whenever I have an idea for a design I want to make, I start drawing. However, the finished project might turn out to be completely different in the end as I let the process guide me along the way.
The initial sketch is still an important part of the process as it helps to materialize the idea on paper.
Designs evolve further during knitting
Whenever I’m knitting I typically adjust the pattern as I go based on whether I like the way it’s coming along.
None of my patterns usually end up looking exactly like they did in the original sketch.
